Florida's Future is a statewide multimedia informational resource for small businesses. It is centered around a series of thirty-minute programs designed to deliver clear, substantive information via television on a weekly basis into the homes of small business owners.

The IIS team was approached by Mr. Peter Harris to develop a Web presence that would complement the Florida's Future weekly broadcast and serve as the Web-based vehicle to articulate the issues and areas of concern and provide a much-needed online instructional and informational resource for small businesses in Florida.

The Florida's Future website boasts subscription content of interest to small business owners, comprehensive resources, a database of statewide contact information. While many areas are open to the general public, some site areas and resources are restricted to registrant-members who have signed up for access.  A site search is integrated into each page to facilitate the easy location of information dealing with issues specific to each user's needs.

The project and the site is being financed by a variety of public-sector and private-sector entities focused on Florida small business issues.

As the small business resource databases are enhanced and brought online, and the television show matures, it is projected that the Florida's Future website will become one of the most trafficked sites of its kind on the Internet!
